Heiko Paland is a physician and researcher and is currently working at the University Medical Center Hamburg–Eppendorf in Germany. He is actively involved in the coordination and implementation of courses for medical students. He studied medicine at the University of Greifswald and holds a doctorate in medicine, a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and a master’s degree in health care management from the University of Greifswald. His current research focuses on neuroimaging, elektrophysiology and genetics of psychosis and neuropsychiatric disorders. In his clinical practice, he focuses on the development and expansion of neuropsychiatric and genetic counseling services in the field of mental health. This is fueled in particular by his passion for international cooperation and the desire for mutual learning within the neuropsychiatric community.
