Duties of a Session Chair:


As Session Chair, you are responsible for the time management of the presentations within your session hall:

  • For each debate please welcome the audience
  • Introduce the debate topic and the moderator
  • The moderator will repeat the debate topic, introduce the capsule and speakers and manage the pre- and post-debate voting via the Congress voting App.

Notes for Session Chair:

  • Encourage audience to take front and center seats
  • Keep the program on schedule
  • Moderator bio  if available, is placed on the table in the hall
  • Notify the hostess immediately of any issues with AV equipment
  • Please remember that votes are to be announced by the moderator before the first speakers and after the final rebuttals, in case the moderator forgets to do it, please step in
