Sarzyńska-Długosz, Iwona

Iwona Sarzyńska-Długosz is a neurologist, specialist in medical rehabilitation, and pain medicine physician. She serves as an IPiN Professor at the 2nd Department of Neurology, Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, Poland.

Her main clinical and research interests include neurorehabilitation, cerebrovascular diseases, nutritional management in neurological patients, and the therapeutic use of botulinum toxin. She specializes in botulinum toxin therapy for spasticity, movement disorders, and chronic migraine, and is a national and international trainer in this field.

She is the author and co-author of several dozen national and international publications and numerous conference presentations. She contributed to the development of Polish guidelines on stroke management, nutritional treatment after stroke, botulinum toxin therapy for adult spasticity, and the diagnosis and management of multiple sclerosis.

She currently serves as the chamber member of the Polish Rehabilitation Society, the vice-president of Neurorehabilitation Section of Polish Neurological Society, the member of the Committee of Neurological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish delegate to the “Pain” and “Neurorehabilitation” panels of the European Academy of Neurology and the member of the Polish National Council for Neurology.

She collaborates with patient organizations supporting individuals affected by neurological disorders.
