Theodore, William

Dr Theodore received his BA degree from Harvard College and MD degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Medicine. He received the American Epilepsy Society Outstanding Clinical Investigator Award in 1991. He is Past Chair of the American Academy of Neurology Epilepsy Section, Treasurer, VicePresident, and President of the American Epilepsy Society and CoEditorinChief of Epilepsy Research. He has worked with the Pan American Health Organization, World Health Organization and World Federation of Neurology on international projects and in teaching and research at the University of Zambia. His research focuses on functional imaging in epilepsy using MRI and PET. He has won numerous awards, including the US Public Health Service Outstanding Service Medal, International League Against Epilepsy Ambassador Award, the American Epilepsy Society Clinical Investigator Award and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Gold Medal for Outstanding Achievements in Clinical Medicine.
