Dr. Manjari Tripathi is in charge of the Centre of Excellence of Epilepsy, Ministry of Health & Department of Biothehnology & AIIMS. In 1996 she obtained her DM Neurology from the prestigious NIMHANS . Then persued several fellowships: Fellow– NIH- Epilepsy –UCLA, National Science Academy- NASI-FNASc , American Academy of Sleep Medicine & Indian Sleep disorders Association.
Has taught several DM Neurology , PhD, MBBS students in her 22 years with AIIMS. She is engaged in several community outreaches– Epilepsy Patient support group Ekatwam which offers free medicines & epilepsy surgery to the needy, has conducted several epilepsy camps in rural India through IREACH. Provides free medicines & volunteer support through ARDSI for persons with dementia.
Has delivered several talks to generate awareness on neurological disorders on national TV & print media. She has receivedseveral awards – AAPIOS best sleep researcher award 2019, San Antonio Texas, BMJ best paper award 2018, AIIMS Best Research award 2018 & 2013, Extraordinary contribution to Epilepsy an outstanding Achievement award in 11th Asian & Oceania Epilepsy congress Hong Kong- ILAE & IBE 2016, Anandi Bai Joshi award for Medicine in 2012 . Has conducted grand rounds at UCLA, MNI, NWU & RUSH U USA. Has delivered orations. Is visiting Professor in INI Hannover Germany, Surabaya university, Indonesia & Morocco. Has delivered several Invited talks at both International & national platforms. Has held several organizational posts as Elected EC member IAN, President ARDSI– Delhi chapter, Secretary General Indian Epilepsy society, Executive member ISSR, ISDA etc.
She has organized International & National meets in Epilepsy & Dementias as organizing secretary. She started National annual EEG workshops both basic & advanced. Organizes epilepsy school for young trainees & is involved in teaching & training. She is currently invited by Health Ministry as an advisor for the NHSRC, Ministry of social justice & empowerment for Disability task force, National essential drug list formulation & a specialist with AB PM-JAY. Internationally she is with ILAE for Epilepsy surgery subcommision, stigma task force & driving task force of the IBE.
