Pedro Fonseca received his medical degree from the University of Coimbra, in Coimbra, Portugal. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University Hospital of Coimbra and underwent a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at the Wlmer Eye Institute of the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is currently a consultant at the University Hospital of Coimbra, where he has been in charge of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Unit since 2009.
