Vlasta Vukovic-Cvetkovic was born in Zagreb, Croatia where she has graduated from Zagreb Medical school, and specialized in neurology at the University Hospital „Sestre milosrdnice“ where she continued to work. She was ass.profesor at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences at University of Zagreb and University of Applied Health Sciences. Since 2014 she has been working at the Danish Headache Center, Department of neurology, Rigshospital-Glostrup in Copenhagen, Denmark, as a consultant neurologist. She has an extensive experience in the treatment of primary and secondary headaches and pain disorders (with special focus on idiopathic intracranial hypertension and spontaneous intracranial hypotension). Furthermore her fields of expertise are stroke and the application of ultrasound in neurology. She has authored and co-authored more than 130 scientific research and review articles and book chapters. She is dedicated in promoting research and spreading the knowledgde in the field of headache and stroke among the healthcare professionals and in the general population. She is a member of several scientific societies in Croatia and Denmark.
