Dr Giorgio Lambru is a Consultant Neurologist and lead neurologist of the Headache Centre at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK. He pioneered the first and only fast track cluster headache clinic in the United Kingdom. He runs a large complex headache and facial pain service and one of the largest headache neurostimulation services in the UK.
Dr Lambru gained his degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 2004. He then trained in Neurology at the University-Hospital of Parma. In 2010 he undertook a-one year clinical fellowship within the Headache group at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and completed his PhD at the Institute of Neurology UCL, London.
Dr Lambru is involved in clinical and preclinical headache research in collaboration with the Neuromodulation Unit at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and the Headache laboratory within the Wolfson CARD-King’s College London. He has authored a number of scientific publications and presented at national and international neurology conferences.
