Zuzana Gdovinová – the Head of the Department of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, P.J. Šafárik University and University Hospital L. Pasteur in Košice, Slovakia, Prezident of Slovak neurological society and past chair of Slovak stroke society. Main areas of interest in neurology are strokes and dementia. She published 109 peer reviewed articles registered in WoS, H-index 26 (WoS). Since 2024 she has been a member of the ESO Board of Directors. She is a member of the ESO-EAST (Enhancing and Accelerating Stroke Treatment in Stroke) Steering Committee, Editorial board of European Stroke Journal and European Journal of Neurology. She is reviewer for international journals including NEJM, JNS, DAD, CEJM, JNRP, NeuS, ESJ, EJoN, Stroke. She is a co-author of European Stroke Organisation (ESO) Guidelines on Stroke in Women: Kremer C, Gdovinova Z., Bejot Y et al., ESJ 2022 and she participates in the ESO-EAN Guideline on Cognitive Rehabilitation after stroke and ESO Guideline on Primary stroke prevention. She presented invited lectures at ESOC, EAN and ESMINT congresses. She participated in several RCTs in the field of stroke and dementia. At ESOC 2018 she received „The Spirit of Excellence Award“ of Angels initiative of ESO. In 2000-2003 a 2007-2010 she was vice-dean for international relations at Faculty of Medicine, P.J.
