Sanjay Budhdeo is a Wellcome Trust Clinical Training Fellow at University College London, where his focus is in the use of graph machine learning for drug repurposing within neurodegenerative diseases. Clinically, he is honorary neurology registrar at NHNN. Sanjay has also received the Bogue Fellowship for research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and a PhD Enrichment Placement Award from the The Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute for AI.
Sanjay has published research across real world data, clinical artificial intelligence and computer vision within and outside of neurology in journals including Lancet Digital Health, PLOS Digital Health and BMJ. Beyond his academic endeavors, Sanjay’s professional journey has included roles in healthcare strategy consulting at the Boston Consulting Group and Owkin, an AI in healthcare unicorn.
