Larysa Sokolova, MD, PhD is professor of neurological department, as well as the scientific consultant of the center of demyelinating diseases in Kyiv. She earned her medical degree and completed her residency in neurology at Bogomolets National Medical University, Ukraine. After receiving the PhD worked as lecturer, assistant professor and professor of neurology department. From 2011 to 2022 she headed the Department of Neurology of Bogomolets National Medical University. Her areas of expertise include MS, Stroke and peripheral nervous system diseases.
Dr Sokolova is the president of the Kyiv Association of Practicing Neurologists, a member of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Neurologists, Psychiatrists and Narcologists, a member of European Academy of Neurology, editorial head of the Ukrainian Neurological Journal, consultant of the State Service of Sanitary Aviation of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
