Professor Sutovsky graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava in 1997 (MD), where he also received a PhD. degree in neurology in 2007. He has a particular interest in neurodegenerative diseases and dementia. He studied the molecular pathology of dementias at the Institute of Neuroimmunology of Slovak Academy of Sciences and at Max-Planck Institute for Structural Molecular Biology, Hamburg, Germany. Stanislav Sutovsky has also served as a researcher in Department of Neurology, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester, United Kingdom. In 2023 he became a professor of Neurology at Comenius University in Bratislava. His research interests include epidemiology, clinical evaluation and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders and dementia, as well as molecular genetics, pathology, and biochemistry of neurodegenerative disorders. He has been, and also currently is an Editorial Board member of several national and international journals. Professor Sutovsky has authored or co-authored over 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as many chapters in books in the field of neurology, neurogenetics, and dementia research.
