Medical degree summa cum laude from the University of Pavia. Fully trained neurologist.
PhD Degree in Human Psychobiology at the University of Modena (Italy).
Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Dept. of Neuroscience of the University of Rochester (NY).
Scientific Roles and honors:
Prof. Tassorelli has served as Board of Directors and Chair of the Committee for the Guidelines of Clinical Trials of the International Headache Society.
President International Headache Society for the biennium 2021-2023.
Member of the Committee of the International Classification of Headache Disorders since 2015.
President of the Italian Association of Full Professors of Neurology for the biennium 2021-2022.
Founding member and former vice-President of the European Headache Alliance, now EHMA.
She has served as a Director in the Board of the Italian Society of Neurorehabilitation.
She has coordinated and participated in several competitive grants funded by the EU, the Migraine Research Foundation, the Italian Ministry of Health, the Italian Ministry of University and the Italian Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
